|Description: A pair of jade plates were in transparent light green tint. By a shallow and flat foot ring, the plates were decently decorated on the surface with gilding motifs of leafy flowers, fruits, bamboos and pine trees. Carved in a light way, the vibrant plants were finely rendered before gold pigment was filled in to enlighten the whole picture against the celadon jade ground. A superb design of the picture can be noticed by the sophisticated composition. And over-the-rim plants were also found like the porcelaineous counterparts. They were a decent pair of jade plates with fine designs despite the obvious jade tissues which were often ignored by traditional connoisseur who paid much attentions to the grand beauty of an object other than the sole jade quality. Date: Qing Dynasty( 18th century), Width: 14.4cm, Condition: Perfect without any cracks. A CUSTOM-MADE SILK BOX IS INCLUDED.|
