| This is Indigo dye cotton boro tattered sashiko futon cover of the Meiji era(1868-1900).This is a sashiko ( quilting ) rug or futon made of hand-spun and natural indigo dyed cotton. It has several layers of cotton cloth pieces inside. it@is patchwork does the piece of the katazome shibori kasuri stripe of the indigo dyeing and repeats it.
