19th century French bronze stand with crenellated edge on four legs with animal's paw feet, possibly used as a small stove for warming food. Condition is good. Height is 6.5" The base is 6" from foot to foot.

19th century Grand Tour figure of the Roman god, Mercury, or in the Greek, Hermes, with winged feet and helmet holding a sword and shield. He balances on one foot on a black metal column with gilt metal base and cap. On the cap are the symbols of the caduceus, a staff with intertwined snakes, a star and a cornucopia or horn of plenty. The figure is painted black with traces of gold showing through. Total height of the base and statue is 16" The base is 4.5" square.

Very nice pair of brass candlesticks, probably from an altar or church set, each with 3 paw feet. The bases are pierced with gothic designs; the columns are twisted in baroque style; the drip cups are also pierced brass. The middle of each column is decorated with an outcropping and attached floret. Height is 18.5" with a triangular base of 7" to each side. A very subtle bas relief in copper of a nude woman with her wrists in shackles and chains attached to a round hook above. At the base of the copper edge is a trademark and the name Plasto. The frame is ebonized wood with a gesso edge and green marbleized plastic border. Size of frame is 7" x 14" x 1.5"

Spelter figure with a bronze patina of a Greek or Roman bearded archer seated on a very stylish chair. He holds a bow on one side; arrows are in the quiver at his feet. The white metal statue sits on an oval wooden base with 4 round feet. Condition is excellent. Height of figure from the table is 11" The base is 12" long and 6.5" wide.

French bronze statue of the Roman goddess of agriculture, seated on a Victorian bench, holding a sheaf of wheat and wearing a crown of acorns and fruit. Height is 16" Base measures 8.25" deep and 8" wide. Condition is excellent.

Very fine bronze bust of a young man, probably Julius Caesar or Caesar Augustus, on a beautiful base of red marble, dating from the late 19th century Grand Tour. The bottom slab of marble is a slightly darker red with white veining. The bust comes off the base. Total height is 8" Base is 5.5" square. Condition is excellent with only very tiny chips in the marble.

Late 19th century bronze statue of a Greek philosopher holding a pen and reclining with a scroll with the phrase in French: La bonheur nait de la vertu. Happiness is born of virtue. The figure sits on an oval wooden base with feet which measures 22" x 10" and probably had a glass dome over it originally. Height of figure on the base is 15" Condition is excellent. These pair of women in armor were originally mounted on the handles of a chair or dresser. The faces on these heads are bronze; the chest armor, hair and helmets are gilt bronze. There are 2 holes on the sides and one on the bottom for screws to attach to furniture. Condition is excellent except that the bottom floret for the screw of one has been bent. Length of each mount is 8 inches.

A silver metal or white metal statue of a child dancing with a tambourine, probably a gas fixture or lamp in another life. The base has 2 old pipe connections, and the figure itself has a small hole in the head (see last picture). Condition is good with some minor loss of the patina. The statue is connected to the base by a small screw which allows it to lean in various ways. Height is 10.25"
