Nicely framed French lithograph of a watercolor by Alfred Dedreux. The lithograph is entitled in French at the bottom 'Etudes variés' translated Various studies with 'Lith. par Jaime' on the left bottom and 'Imp. Lith. de Cattier' on the right bottom. Above the print is the name of the artist, Alfred Dedreux, 1810-1860. Equestrian sports were his great love and there are many oils and watercolors to attest to it. Small French bronze statue of a muscular barechested and barefoot young man wearing a hat and trousers. The tag on the front says Faucheur par A Gaudez H.C. Salon de 1899; a loose translation from the French: the Reaper by A. Gaudez (1845-1936) probably exhibited at the HC Salon of 1899. The signature of the artist is near the man's left foot. Condition is very good except that the piece he held in his hands is gone. Height is 7.5"

A pair of oil paintings on light board or heavy paper showing sailing vessels with a crew wearing Chinese hairstyles and clothing. The full-blown sails are beautifully painted; one has Chinese characters. Condition of the paintings is good except for some white scratch marks especially on the dark cloud of one and the waves of both. Frames are a maple veneer and appear very old with some splitting and loss of the veneer. Size of the frames is 15" x 12" x 1"

Carved wood sculpture of a bucolic country scene, probably in Quebec, Canada, of a woman baking bread in an outdoor oven with a dog resting under a bench. Cultivated fields, fences and a church steeple fill in the background. The sides are framed by stylized trees. This Canadian bas relief was sculpted by R. Valliere in 1946. The signature and date are legible in the bottom right and left corners. Size is 18" x 35.5" x 2" Condition is excellent.
