A pair of wood obelisks, made in Italy and painted to look like green marble (faux marbre) The top half rests on 4 gold balls which sit on a plinth (4" x 4" x 6" tall). The form of the obelisk originated in Egypt. Beautiful old antique white glazed pottery urn or vase with a blue double headed eagle wearing a royal crown surmounted by a cross. In the center of the eagle is a medallion with a faded yellow figure of what may be a lion rampant. Condition is good with some minor pock marks and outgrowths along the rim. The bottom has the maker's mark V.D Height is 9" The rim is 4" in diameter. The base is 3" in diameter.

Very nice 3 piece bath or bedroom bureau set consisting of a tray (11" x 8"), a soap or trinket dish (5" x 3.5") and a cup (4" tall). The set is made of a clay like earthenware with a yellow glaze that has worn away very artistically revealing a terra cotta colored pottery. The bottom of each piece has 3 initials, FGW, and a number: 13 on the cup, 1211 on the dish, and 1063 on the tray. An ingenious and decorative nutcracker with a pine handle and a shiny mahogany bowl. The nut holder is metal with ridges and operates just fine by a little pressure downwards on the handle which pushes in the arm with the ridges. The bowl catches the nutshells. The bottom is covered in worn green felt. The diameter of the bowl is 8" The height of the handle from the table is 7"

A Grand Tour copy from Florence, Italy, circa 1890, of an angel blowing a trumpet by Fra Angelico in oil painted on wood with a gilt background in a gilded wood Gothic frame. The angel is garbed in dark gray vestments with gold stars and edging. His tunic splits at his feet to reveal bright red and blue undergarments. His wings are gold with blood red droplets. A Grand Tour copy from Florence, Italy, of an angel blowing a trumpet by Fra Angelico; oil painted on wood with a gilt background in a gilded wood Gothic frame with 4 twisted columns in the baroque style of Bernini. Condition of painting is excellent. The gilding of the frame and background is excellent also. There is a loss of two cornices on the side near the bottom (see pic 5) Size of the frame is 21" long by 7.5" wide at the bottom.

Bronze sculpture depicting Saint Christopher knee-deep in water, and true to his name of Christ bearer, carrying a child on his shoulders. Size is 14" x 7.5" Condition is excellent, although there is some oxidation at the bottom. Someone has taped a piece of paper on the back that says Signature with an arrow, but I cannot make anything out.

Beautifully carved wood figure of a crowned Virgin Mary holding a flowering sceptre in one hand and in the other, balanced on her hip, the child Jesus. The child has an old man face typical of medieval figures. On the bottom are the sculptor's initials, PL or PV, with a date of 81. I am assuming this is 1881 because of the neo-gothic style of this carving, so popular in the late 19th century during the Gothic Revival. Small French bronze statue of a muscular barechested and barefoot young man wearing a hat and trousers. The tag on the front says Faucheur par A Gaudez H.C. Salon de 1899; a loose translation from the French: the Reaper by A. Gaudez (1845-1936) probably exhibited at the HC Salon of 1899. The signature of the artist is near the man's left foot. Condition is very good except that the piece he held in his hands is gone. Height is 7.5"
