History of Latin Christianity including that of the popes to the pontificate of Nicolas V by Henry Hart Milman, Dean of St Paul's in nine volumes Fourth and revised version London: John Murray, Albemarle Street. 1867. Full leather with gilt double line incised. Spine has five raised bands and gilt and red decoration. Marble endpapers with book plates and red page ends. Size is 7" x 5" Condition is very good with normal wear and rubbing.

Oeuvres du Lacordaire, the Dominican theologian, in French in 9 volumes of full leather with marbled endpapers and marbled edges, published in Paris by Librairie Poussielgue Freres in 1882. Volume 1, Vie de St. Dominique, the Life of Saint Dominic, has a beautiful engraving of the saint by the Blessed Fra Angelico.
