| A white metal allegorical figure of a semi-nude man holds a bag of money and a scroll with the words in French: Aidez-vous les uns les autres, Help one another. On the pedestal with the head of a lion are the words: Travail, Economie. Work, money. There are traces of gilt on his nude body. The architectural inkpots on either side of him are missing their ceramic or glass inserts. The black marble base with rich white veining rests on 4 gilt bronze classical style feet. Height is 16.5" Width is 15" and depth is 8.5" | ||
