| Baroque altar card made of plaster with a hammered tin cover. Originally part of a set of 3 for the altar at a Tridentine Mass. This one would have been placed on the right corner of the altar and has the prayers the priest would recite as he mixed the water and wine in the chalice and the psalm Lavabo for the washing of his hands by the acolytes. The Latin rubrics and texts are printed on paper pasted on the plaster in Latin with faded decoration on the sides, possibly hand-painted. Size is 11" high, 8.5" wide in the middle, 7.5" wide at feet, and 3/4" thick. Condition is good for such an old piece with 3 breaks in the plaster, 2 with old repairs as seen on the back. | ||
