| Beautiful parian statue of a long-haired and bearded Saint John the Baptist, barefoot and wearing a short tunic of animal skin. A scallop shell for baptising hangs at his hip from a leather strap which crosses his chest. Condition is good except for a fine crack in the hair on his left shoulder. There are two marks which are hard to make out: one stamped into the bisque base on the back near the bottom - Enerek or Enevel; the other is the number 2 stamped into the porcelain bottom and the letters, I think, B&G, written in blue but faded.
