| Polychromed and carved wood figure or statue of a friar wearing the black and white Dominican habit and the monastic tonsure, probably from 19th century Latin America. He holds a red covered book with a gold lined scapular. Possibly the learned Saint Thomas Aquinas or Saint Vincent Ferrer. Condition is good with some loss of polychrome and gesso. Face is very handsome. Height is 11" Base of robes is 3.5" by 2" | ||
