This silver and royal blue enamel necklace is early 20th century. I would have thought this was Scandinavian but the only mark is for 800 silver. Very pretty and delicate, the rectangular enamelled links alternate with inscribed round silver links, each of which are separated by a silver ball and two chain links. It has a box clasp and measures
15 inches so for a small neck or would be a lovely gift for a young girl. Great design and color.

This is a lovely floral skonvirke brooch done in the typical repousse style of the time. Skonvirke (the Danish equivalent of English Arts & Crafts and the German Jugendstil, translates as "beautiful work" or "aesthetic activities" (see Warmans Jewelry, page 232). This piece is marked for Bernhard Hertz, a contemporary of Georg Jensen and Evald Nielsen.
