A lovely example of a French cut steel beaded evening purse in pristine condition. It is difficult to find these with all of their fringe and beads in tact. While the lining shows some shredding, it is completely usable or could be relined if you choose. It is about 9 1/2 inches long from the top of the frame to the bottom of the fringe and is 4 3/4 inches wide. As is customary with these purses, they open by pushing down on the clasp which is firm and snaps tightly. The chain adds 6 1/4 inches. ...click for details

Vintage, silky sterling silver mesh evening purse in excellent condition. It is stamped Sterling inside the frame and also has an address of 51 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, New Jersey. On the outside of the frame there is a script monogram of MEH on one side. The purse measures 6.5 x 5.5 inches and the chain adds 7 inches. It weighs over 180 grams which is over 6 ounces of silver!
