| This Scandinavian modernist ring has a highly sculptural surface with the contrast between the "dug out" and surface areas heightened by the matte and shiny finishes. I find his work of this type to be reminiscent of Lapponia and have a similar ring but with a round top (item #282, dated 1976). This ring is marked with Hyvarinen's MJH makers mark, 925, the city mark for Turku and U7 for 1973. It's a size 8 but the back of the shank is typically overlapped to allow for some adjustment either way. The top of the ring is square and measures 11/16ths x 11/16ths. (17.5mm x 17.5mm) | |||||||
