| Lovely 14K gold modern earrings with an unusual cut to the cabachon tiger eye stones; like an asymmetrical dome (see photos). Each stone is bezel set and surrounded by four textured bands - while the stones are oval the surrounding setting is basically round,creating an interesting contrast. The stones have a wonderful chatoyancy, which is the cat's eye effect caused by the light reflecting on the parallel fibers of the stone, most notable when you rotate the stone. Unfortunately my pictures don't do this justice, but trust me darling. The earrings are roughly 3/4" in diameter and the stones are 12mm x 18mm. These have omega clip backs and it's an easy job for a jeweler to add a post for pierced ears, if desired. They are marked 14ct Germany which leads me to think these were made for export to the U.K. (Fun fact: Most of Europe uses 585 to designate 14K gold and while most countries use ct as an abbreviation for a stone's weight and kt as an abbreviation for the gold content, the UK uses ct for both.) | |||||||||
