| This large and heavy ceramic piece can be displayed on a table or hung on a wall (there is a hook embedded in the rear). It is by West Coast ceramic artist Patrick Horseley who is still working and has his pieces in several galleries. Dimensions: 13" x 13 1/4" and 4" tall. The metallic glazes are in gold and silver and make a great contrast with the black background. The whitish spots you might see, I was told by the artist are "iron in the clay body burning out in the firing , it is iron pyrites or fools gold". Personally, I think this looks best hanging on a wall, which is how I first saw it but see all the photos to decide. Great condition and very dramatic piece of art. | ||||||||
