Sterling Silver N.E. From Pendant, Necklace
Unusual, very long sterling silver pendant necklace by N.E.From of Norway. This is often referred to as "necktie" jewelry due to it's construction. In fact it was designed as men's jewelry, some examples of which are illustrated on page 115 of New Design in Jewelry, Donald Willcox. (a scan of the page is included) They are called "anties" and worn in lieu of ties. However, they can also be worn by women and placed on a silk cord (as pictured), a leather cord, a chain or a neckring.

It is 4 inches long, the bar is 3 inches wide and the pendant portion is just over 1 inches wide. Unusual and versatile piece; marked as pictured.
