This pair of taoist figures were from an old home in Shanxi Province. They were used to decorate pillars. The material is pine. The depth of the figure is 5 inches and the width is about 5 1/2". The figures are about 25.5"(h). It sits on a 10"square base. The base is about 5"(h).
These sturdy doors date from the early Qing period, 17th century, from Shanxi Province. Made of Poplar and iron, they would be great in a garden. Dimensions are 40 1/4" wide, 3 1/2" deep, and 70" high.
Four of these wonderful antique screens are currently available. Mother of Pearl is inset into a Fir frame allowing light to show through. From Shanxi region, 19th century. Each panel is 16 1/4" wide, 1 5/8" deep, and 44 1/2" high.
