This unusual mechanical bar masquerades as an American lowboy, but the inside elevates and a conceals spaces to hold all sorts of barware...glasses, julep cups, bottles, etc. The top is divided vertically into two leaves. When you pull them up and outward from the center, the mechanism operates flawlessly and the interior elevates. No one is the wiser about what the case contains. This wonderful 1930s Eames-era podium/lectern/register stand was made by the St. Louis firm Royal Bond, Inc. It is lighted and would be terrific in your foyer or up front in your restaurant. Dimensions: 46 inches high; lecturn measures 15 x 18 inches; base 11 inches in diameter. Very good condition.
