| This absolutely charming oil on canvas double portrait of the Skinner children was painted in Baltimore by the British artist Robert Aker (Liverpool,England. The painting is signed verso "Miss/Sarah Skinner/Miss Mary nner,Baltimore/Robt.Aker/pinxt/Liverpool August 1856." Obviously the little Skinner girls are members of a family of privilege. One sister is wearing a white dress and holding a bunch of grapes; the other is in a red dress, kneeling & holding apples in her lap. Dimensions: 35 inches high x 30 inches wide, sight size; 44 inches high x 36-1/2 inches wide, in an antique frame.
