These Royal Copenhagen playing puppies is made up of one gray-eared puppy on its back trying to coax its friend (white ear) to join the the fun, the other is half-sitting and showing some of his left ear, and the game involves this strange floppy appendage, apparently. Once again the fusion of the subjects where the legs, ears and tails are in contact , adds to the sense of affinity between the dogs. This is very attractive to both the collector and the dog fancier. The body color is white, with patches of gray over the eyes and on the dogs' back, (white ears has a gray tip to its tail, both have deep gray noses and muzzles. 2" high x 4".

This glass sculpture /paperweight is 5" tall and 2 /34" in diameter.
Ed Kachurik use a technique of coloring the hot glass surface, which is called veiling. A veil is a metallic coating that is applied to the hot glass, and then covered with clear glass, thus trapping the color inside the sculpture. Kachurik is an independent glass artist who experiments with precious metals and chemicals to create his own colors, which are unique to his line today. These transparent sculptures maximize the extraordinary inherent qualities of glass. Every design is hand crafted using wooden blocks and newspaper to work with the molten glass. His beautiful sculptures are seen in museums and galleries throughout the country.
