Banded agate is a type of chalcedony with some of the layers being translucent. These were highly prized for their beauty and their durability. Gold filled cuff buttons were precursors to modern cufflink. There are Pat Nov. 18, 1880 and most probably English in origin. The agate is 5/8" in diameter. |
