Antique Turkish runner, Konya area, probably Kurdish made, second half of the 19th Century. It features a series of four panel with alternating red and green grounds; extra end panels with mirhabs; and animal and human figures in each of the square panels. It probably dates from the 1870's. The dimensions are: 51" x 183". Natural dyes, very old repairs to the pile, good condition.

Extremely rare Haviland double vase, circa 1870, with Barbizon style paintings on both sides, signed with artist's cipher under glaze and with paper label. The artist's monogram is for Emile-Justin Merlot (1839-1900), one of the artists sponsored by C.E. Haviland in his artist's studio to experiment with painting on ceramic.
