Antique SW Persian bagface, late nineteenth Century. Beautiful graphics on a midnight blue field, in shades of green, light blue, ivory, red, gold, etc. Ivory main border with latticed double-crosses. Closure system present and in good condition. Original selvedges. All dyes appear natural.

Antique Kurdish bagface, or bag front, Northwest Persia, late nineteenth--early 20th Century, 14" by 19". Single Memling gul in blue-green, brown-black, dark ivory, several shades of red, apricot, midnight blue, etc. Multicolored diagonal stripe border. Original selvedge, good condition. All dyes appear natural, including the beautiful apricot often found in this type of bag.

Exceptional large size complete pair of Malatya saddlebags, offered in very good condition. These bags appear to date from the late nineteenth century. Slit tapestry with wrapped outline wefts, closure systems intact. Woven in Anatolia by Kurdish weavers. Approximately 33" by 58". One of three complete pairs currently in our collection.
