Original abstract-surrealist oil painting on board by Philipp Weichberger (German, 1936-1985). This large painting measures 20" by 51" in its gallery frame (it was sold originally by the Hutton-Hutschnecker Gallery in New York). It is signed and dated 58 l.l. Weichberger is a well-listed German artist, with an extensive auction and exhibition record.

Original oil on panel (21" x 20") by Max Heimann (German/American, born 1909), circa 1947, in excellent condition and with original frame, signed U.R. and titled on reverse, first exhibited at the De Young Memorial Museum in San Francisco (exhibition label on reverse.) One of two works by Max Heimann in the gallery.

Original oil on panel (28 x 20) by Max Heimann (Germany-USA), born 1909. Wonderfully detailed self portrait, dated 1936, with exhibition label. This painting was exhibited in Berlin, Shanghai and San Francisco. Excellent condition, original frame. Max Heimann is slowly coming out of obscurity as an artist: he is currently listed in Askart, and his paintings are making it to the auction houses (cf. Bonhams and Butterfields).
