| Original watercolor by Samuel Leitman (American, New York, 1908-1981), circa 1950, offered framed and in excellent condition. 23" by 30" in its frame. Signed l.r. "S. Leitman AWS". Samuel Leitman studied at the Art Student's League with Anne Goldthwaite, and at the National Academy of Design. He was a member of the American Watercolor Society and taught at the Salmagundi Club. His works are held at the Frye Museum in Seattle, at the West Point Museum, at the Norfolk Museum in Virginia, etc. Well exhibited, listed, and collected. | |
