| Original oil painting on canvas by Anthony Toney (American, 1913-2004). This work is offered in its original frame and in excellent condition. Signed "Toney" l.l. and dated "70". Also signed "Anthony Toney" and titled "Village" by the hand of the artist on the stretcher. And signed again, as is typical for this artist, on the back of the canvas. This painting measures 17" by 23" (canvas alone) and 19 1/2" by 25 1/2" in its frame. It still bears the original gallery label from the ACA Gallery of East 73rd Street in New York--the original price was $500 and it was originally sold to Mrs Isidore Jacobson. One of a number of works by this artist always available on this website. Anthony Toney is a well-listed American artist. | |
