| Original five color woodblock print on japan paper by Sylvia Solochek Walters (American, born 1938), offered in excellent condition (lightly hinged to back of the matte). This woodblock measures 25" by 11" (block size) and has wide margins. It is signed "Solochek" and dated 71 in pencil l.r. It is also titled in pencil "Black Bird" l.l. and numbered 5/13 l.c. Sylvia Solochek Walters is one of the main artists currently working in the color woodblock medium in the USA. She has been chairing the Department of Art at the San Francisco State University since 1984. Highly listed, collected, and represented in museums. | |
