| Large well framed original oil painting on board by David Stirling (American, 1887-1971) offered in excellent condition. This painting measures 26" by 36" (painting alone). It is signed "Stirling" l.l. It is also signed "Dave Stirling", titled "Cloudland Sentinels, Estes Park", and dated 1953 on the reverse. David Stirling is a well listed Colorado artist with an extensive auction record. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago in the early years of the 20th Century, and had a studio in Estes Park, Colorado, for most of his active life as a painter. | |
