| Original pastel on brown paper by American New Realist artist Robert Treloar (born 1948). This work retains its original gallery frame and is offered in excellent condition. It is signed "Robert Treloar" l.l. It still bears its original gallery label from the Sherry French Gallery in New York City which states the name of the artist, the title of the work ("Dartboard"), the year of creation (1984), the medium and the size of the work (18 1/4 by 24 1/4--it measures 26" by 31" in its frame), and the original price ($2000). Robert Treloar took part in the revival of realism in late 20th century American art, with the likes of Richard Estes, Phillip Pearlstein, Wayne Thiebaud, Chuck Close, etc. He is represented in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
