Set of 6 beautiful Pinder Bourne Burslem hand painted Aesthetic Movement dishes, made circa 1879. Each is hand painted with a different flower and its foliage and with gilt Aesthetic Movement borders. They measure approximately 14 cm in diameter and are 2.5 cm deep. All have the Pinder Bourne impressed mark and each has the design registration diamond for 1879. 5 dishes are in excellent condition and the 6th has a short hairline, which I have photographed in one of the photographs. The base is of triform pierced shape and cast with three leaves, the arms of whiplash form and the scones are flower buds. It measures approximately 26 cm high and 23 across. Wonderful detailed ivory carving of a young child sitting upon an 18th century oak joint stool. I love the detail of the carving, the folds in the clothes, wrist bracelet, hair and even the stool’s front leg joint coming apart. This carving is apparently unsigned but is of the very best quality. It measures approximately 11 cm high including the attached rosewood base.
