Large Richard Merkelbach Jugendstil stoneware vase designed by Richard Riemerschmid circa 1904. The top of the vase is decorated in relief with a continuous frieze of stylised roses and the body with three circular rose bushes. It measures 40cm high and the base has the impressed number 1797. Rare Zuid Plateelbakkerij vase designed by Jaap Gidding. The side of the vase is hand painted with three repeated designs in grey, black, turquoise and terracotta. It measures 21 cm high and is 15 cm in diameter at the rim. The base is fully marked including the date code for 1929 and the shape number 0404.
