Rare and wonderful pair of Gien tall faience vases, hand painted with a Japanese inspired designs of birds, grasses and flowers, made circa 1870. The they measures approximately 44 cm high and are 17.5 cm at the rim. Both bases have hand painted ‘Gien’ and the artists monogram. The vase with the crane has some frits (glaze chips) to the yellow enamel on the rim and the vase with the duck has a chip to the base.I am happy to ship worldwide. Unusual antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement oval tile, decorated to the centre with a flowering branch and with blue and green sunflowers to the edge, made circa1890.
