Rare and wonderful pair of Gien tall faience vases, hand painted with a Japanese inspired designs of birds, grasses and flowers, made circa 1870. The they measures approximately 44 cm high and are 17.5 cm at the rim. Both bases have hand painted ‘Gien’ and the artists monogram. The vase with the crane has some frits (glaze chips) to the yellow enamel on the rim and the vase with the duck has a chip to the base.I am happy to ship worldwide. Beautiful Alexandre Bigot stoneware inkwell with chrysanthemum flower metal mounts made circa 1905. The inkwell consists of a stoneware body, cover and removable inner ink reservoir. The metal mounts were at one time silver plated and there are a few minor dents and marks. It measures 16 cm in diameter and has the impressed Bigot castle mark to the base.
Montigny sur Loing Art Nouveau vase by Numa Gillet circa 1902. The vase has incised and painted decorated of an Art Nouveau maiden with the rest of the vase having an repeated ‘X’ pattern. The base has the Montigny sur Loing mark and the side has the artist signature. It measures 14.5 cm high. The rim has some chipping.
