Cassowary bird thigh bone dagger. The cassowary is a large flightless, but very dangerous bird, averaging 4-6 feet tall from New Guinea. Circa pre-1920. Incised design. Very good condition. Professionally custom mounted. About 12 inches tall.
Unusually large 13 inch powder horn. Probably Revolutionary war period but uncertain. Initials "AW" are carved into the wooden end cap. Handmade nails hold the butt plate in place. Stopper is missing. Worn remains of scrimshaw stick figures with man holding fish on horn body.
Early American carved wooden box in the form of a fish. Probably used for fish hooks or needles (possibly net making needles.). Hinged cover with rigaree style etching of eyes, mouth, scales, etc. Unsigned. Note with provenance inside. Age cracks. 6 1/4 inches long. Circa early 19th century.
