Great old paperweight believed to have been made by the Boston Sandwich company, circa 1875 (+/-). Attribution is based on the more muted color pallette and slightly lower dome (profile) than those weights created by fellow maker New England Glass Company. This piece is a classic example of paperweight design with an internal 'end of day' decoration...an understated array of swirling melted and melding millefiori canes, punctuated with small silvery air bubbles in the mix.
