Dramatic art glass vessel by artist Tom McGlaughlin (1934-2011). A most striking piece, it's blown from a ghostly pale yellow white glass with a central void, surrounded by a series of six chambers that open at the bottom, each having a frosted and subtley iridized interior. Spectacular 1950s glass figurine, possibly made by Barovier or Seguso. Amazing handmade gypsy woman sculpture, beautifully crafted from a range of different color glass, highlighted and accented by metallic gold leaf from head to toe. Fabulous piece of mid-century figural glass that appears to have been made by Seguso based on the aventurine and sommerso techniques. Skillfully made, the guitarist is stylish with beautiful transparent purple coloration that works well with the metallic gold dust, clear and lightly amber gold striped ruffles applied to the shirt and pants. Spectacular mid-century vase by Barovier & Toso of Italy. Skillfully handmade, this piece features the efeso technique of myriad small bubbles randomly scattered within the wall amongst the blue coloration of varying density and metallic copper aventurine. The neck is accented by an applied wrap and the flare nicely ruffled. Size/Condition: Measures 8.75"x 6.5". In excellent, undamaged condition, no chips or cracks. Large and impressive vase from the Empoli region of Italy, maker not known, probably 1950s/60s vintage. Classic dark bottle green glass is blown into an ovoid shape and features four thick ropes that spiral from top to bottom edge. A great statement piece that would mix well with other mid-century decorative arts. Size/Condition: Measures 12" tall. Trapped air bubbles in the wall, age-appropriate foot wear, no chips or cracks. This is a nicely executed pate de verre Greco-Roman portrait with classic design and style using a grey opaque glass for the head, contrasted against the millefiori hair adornment.
