An elegant Chinese planter decorated around the body with a freize of
showy white peonies. The rim is wide and slightly inverted and the base is unglazed,including a hole for drainage.
Condition:Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty,
Daoguang Period(1821-1850) Size:DIA.5 1/4"x
2 3/4"high. An absolutely beautiful Chinese

Ovid in form and slightly tapered at the base,this elegant Chinese jar radiates a brilliant silver iridescence developed over
the many years through an oxidation process in the copper lead green glaze common to the Han Dynasty's green pottery. This powerfully modeled horse,standing foursquare on a rectangular base with its head slightly turned to the left,harnessed
in a green bridle with a tan saddle&green saddle bags,all sitting on a beautifully fringed blanket.The long mane is thick and bushy and stands up almost vertically on a body that is straw glazed in color.
