A very finely decorated,Republic Period (1908-1949), Chinese iron-red and gilded seal paste box,of circular form,the top cover is decorated in iron-red depicting two Buddhistic lions among the ribbons & flames with a brocade ball. This outstanding 19thC porcelain brushwasher is decorated with a fine teadust glaze on the outside,inside and base of this attractive disc-like form. A four character
Jiaqing mark,in black,is set into a white square porcelain base. Condition:Excellent,with a small firing imperfection at the footrim as noted in photo #5.
