This is a superb ink and color portrait on silk of Soson Taesa,as he was usually known in Korea,who was one of the most important Zen Masters in Korean history who lived in the 16thC and was probably the most important Monk of

Modelled in a recumbent position,resting upon gilded hooves with head raised and black enameled eyes looking straight ahead, its mouth slightly opened and showing an attached
back cover that when lifted shows a vibrant turquoise colored enameled interior. Condition:Excellent condition. Circa: Late Qing Dynasty 1850-1900.

A beautiful and elegant small Chinese eggshell porcelain scholar vase delicately painted in grisaille around the body illustrating a detailed mountain and riverscape in the wintertime. We can see a Sage on his donkey with his attendant following on foot,crossing a bridge while leaving his property.The base is marked with an iron-red square seal and the shoulder of the vase is marked with a round irion-red seal both of which probably identify the artist as Fang Yulong.

A superb Chinese snuff bottle of cylindrical form,well hollowed with a short neck,a slightly convex lip and a flat,circular foot and footrim. Finely painted around the body in pencil style showing twelve lotus flowerheads growing from scrolled stems under a border of small ruji heads that encircle the squat neck. Condition: Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty (1736-1850)
