This outstanding 19thC porcelain brushwasher is decorated with a fine teadust glaze on the outside,inside and base of this attractive disc-like form. A four character
Jiaqing mark,in black,is set into a white square porcelain base. Condition:Excellent,with a small firing imperfection at the footrim as noted in photo #5.
Circa:Qing Dynasty,1810-1900. Size:2 3/4"Dia x 1 1/4"H.

A superb small scholar's vase,Republic Period,
of baluster form and finely painted in iron red and overglaze&white enamels with five Ming-style horned dragons frolicing among the cloud-scrolls.The recessed base is painted with the four-character Qianlong reign mark in black on a gold-ground square,bordered in red. Condition:Excellent.

A fine soapstone seal of muted orange tone and square form with a superbly carved design
of two melons and a prunus flower.The base of the seal is cut with four characters.the writing on the side of the seal roughly translates
as Ones mindset which has a thorough understanding of the 'Tao'( a Chinese word which can mean,way,path or even a doctrine or principle) in nature.

A beautiful and elegant small Chinese eggshell porcelain scholar vase delicately painted in grisaille around the body illustrating a detailed mountain and riverscape in the wintertime. We can see a Sage on his donkey with his attendant following on foot,crossing a bridge while leaving his property.The base is marked with an iron-red square seal and the shoulder of the vase is marked with a round irion-red seal both of which probably identify the artist as Fang Yulong.
