This very elegant Japanese bamboo hanakago (flower basket)with its wide shoulders and a finely woven neck and four legged arched base,displays multiple different weaves in a classic bamboo splint shape.Rustic in appearance with bamboo branch&root accents interwoven into the sides of the basket in releif.This magnificent patina carries an almost waxed orange & black hue giving the basket an outstanding look.Circa:pre-1920.
