This very impressive and finely painted 19thC Japanese silk scroll was done by artist named Misetsu and depicts a large, almost life-like monkey holding on to a large & well defined tree branch in the mountains of Japan. An exquisite work of fine art in the format of a hanging silk scroll entitled, "Misetsu suru,Shoka gosen" meaning, "Monkey by Misetsu, Inscription by Shoka."
