A beautiful 19thC snuff bottle supported on a footed base of
rectangular shape with faceted sides,the reserve-decorated in red lacquer with a lady and her maidservant in a bamboo garden shared with a crane,the reverse with a phoenix flying under the clouds into a floral setting against a black lacquer ground,a four character Qianlong mark on the base which I feel is spurious,and a matching top.
Condition:excellent with normal wear to stopper and shoulder area.Size:2 1/2"(6.3cm)

A bronze form modelled in the shape of a mythical bird standing with feet squared on an ornate
round base,eyes focused on what's in its mouth with back tail feathers raised and arched forward.Three distinct horizontal layers of feathers encircle the bird's neck,giving it a very regal appearance.The grooved handle extends from the back of the bird's head to the tip of the tail feathers with a tiny baby bird perched in the middle middle of the handle.

Finely painted design of flower scrolls
encircling the middle of the tea-caddy between two B/W decorated borders.The top view shows four B/W floral sprays around the opening.Circa:Late 19thC(1875-1895)
Condition very good no chips,cracks or restorations,with one tiny abrasion spot(1/8"dia.)on the shoulder area having little to no effect on the appearance of
the tea caddy.
