A Rare Peach Bloom-Glazed Apple-Form Water Pot
This is superb&rare scholar's 'apple'-form water pot.(pingguo zun) The tapering bulbous body is rounded with an inverted mouth rim and covered overall in a peach-bloom glaze. The interior&base are a smooth white porcelain paste. The six-character Guangxu mark and of the period is clearly written on the base in underglaze blue. Condition:Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty Guangxu Period(1875-1908)Size:3 3/4"(9.5cm)Diam.x 2 3/4"H. A rare and unusual piece from the scholars table.
