| A fine soapstone seal of muted orange tone and square form with a superbly carved design of two melons and a prunus flower.The base of the seal is cut with four characters.the writing on the side of the seal roughly translates as Ones mindset which has a thorough understanding of the 'Tao'( a Chinese word which can mean,way,path or even a doctrine or principle) in nature. Condition:Excellent. Circa:Late Qing/Early Republic Period 1908-1920.Size:1 3/8"H x1 3/8"square. If you collect soapstone seals,you should have this one in your collection. | |||||||
