| A superb Chinese snuff bottle in a rare 'Palace Jar Form.'This elegant bulbous-cylindrical bottle with a waisted cylindrical neck surrounded by stylized lappets with a wide mouth,rounded lip and a recessed,flat,circular foot surrounded by a convex circular footrim,very finely painted with a continuous design of lotus flowerheads,their scrolling stems creating panels in which the flowers are set.The base is inscribed in blue with the four character mark of Xuande. Condition:Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty,Daoguang Period 1821-1850. Size:2 1/2"H(without the stopper) A must have addition to your snuff bottle collection. | ||||||||||
