| A very fine Chinese Export porcelain teapot made for export to England. This globular blue&white teapot with curved spout and flattened domed lid is painted on both sides with a riverscape showing pagodas and fishing boats with one figure on each. Around the lid and shoulder area is a so-called Fitzhugh patchwork border.Gilt bands and other gilt decorations were probably added later by English decorators to meet the current trends.Condition:Excellent with minor kiln adherings around the base.(Please note photo enlargements &thanks)Circa: Qing Dynasty,Qianlong Period(1736-1795) Size:9 1/4" from tip of spout to end of handle.Height:5 1/4" An elegant Chinese 18thC Export porcelain teapot.A wonderful addition for your collection of 18thC Chinese Export porcelain. | |||||||||
