| An excellent contemporary Chinese landscape painting in the format of a hanging scroll,ink and color on paper,mounted on silk,entitled "Blue and Green Landscape by Hu Peiheng"(1892-1965)This painting is one of Hu's early works,since his early landscape style was particularly influenced by Wang Hui(1633-1717)of the Qing Dynasty.Condition of the painting is excellent with the bottom of the scroll showing some wear,probably due to excessive handling(please note photo enlargements for details)& a very tiny pin hole at the top of the mountain to the left side.Circa:Early 20th Century,painting is dated 1929. Measurements:89 3/4"x 19 1/4"(53 1/2 x 13 1/2 without mounting) Hu Peiheng is a fine contemporary Chinese artist whose work is now frequently collected at major auctions.Please note the photo enlargements to see his outstanding work and attention to detail. Quite distinctive in this painting are his unique "dot" brushstrokes and layered shading technique,a method often used in oil painting. | ||||||||||
