An Outstanding Ming Dynasty Court Pottery Musician
A wonderful example of a Ming pottery musician, standing on a square base with his feet pointed forward and his left hand holding a beautifully glazed amber musical instrument. He is wearing a red tunic with green sleeves and a green glazed flat rounded collar, his tall hat is slightly turned up in the front with the front brim pointed backwards. The facial features are superb and quite detailed. Condition:Excellent and well preserved overall with minor amounts of abrasions and wear due to its long burial period. Circa: Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) Size:11 1/2"high. An unusual Chinese burial figure with superb detail and great color not often found in the marketplace.(Please note the photo enlargements&thanks)
