| This is a wonderful Japanese Cloisonné Enamel Koro and Lid. This piece was definitely done by one of the top cloisonné artists, probably Honda. This high shouldered koro is worked in standard cloisonne. I believe the wires are guilded but I can not tell for sure. The shoulder and lid have a very elaborate butterfly and floral pattern. There are seven beautifully done panels going around the tan speckled ground body. The koro is approx. 4 ¼” high and is in excellent condition with only some minor pitting. | ||||||||||||||
